.chistmas break.

We finally finished up the boys Legos. Gage took off on his own for awhile and did remarkably well. Not quite perfect though, and you need to be perfect when constructing this stuff. I spent an hour retracing his steps to find the piece or two he missed!

Someone in my ward was telling me at our Christmas activity that she lets her boys blow up their gingerbread houses from Christmas on new years eve with fireworks! Brilliant! We ended up letting out boys use ours for target practice with their BB guns the next day. It had been picked at a little bit, but I LOVED the fact that we just threw it away after and didn't have to have the kids whine about eating it all! I sense a new tradition for us!

This was my Christmas present this year! My boys surprised me with it and it sits beautifully in the garage right now so I can see it everyday!

Santa brought us Wii Sports. For some reason we didn't get that one with our console the year we got it? We spent much of our vacation playing the 3 B's. Boxing, baseball and Bowling.

.christmas afternoon.

After Church we left for Christmas dinner at Mom's. Aunt Katie played with the girls and their new playdough set she got them.

Josh and TJ worked on his new Ninjago Lego set from Grandma. They spent quite awhile working on it.

Once we got home the Lego fun continued. I think we spent a total of 3 hours working on that thing that day! Great for little boys concentration.

.christmas morning.

The kids got up bright and early Christmas morning. We asked them to wait until 7am and they did! Brynn was still asleep so Dad went upstairs to grab her, dropped her off in our bed while he went to see if Santa came.

He didn't disappoint. Brynn got the baby doll bed she asked for and that crazy Santa brought the boys both BB guns!

Gage got a gumball machine that I teased Josh was his actual favorite gift. I think I was right. He did manage to keep the gumballs for more than a day.

Dad made cinnamon toast with some cinnamon bread we received as a neighbor gift. With cream! It was tasty delicious.

We had sacrament meeting that morning at 10:30. I very much enjoyed going to church and listening to the Christmas program. It was a good way to bring in the spirit and remember why we were celebrating.

.christmas eve.

We had the brilliant idea this year to take the kid to the Hill Airforce Aerospace museum on Christmas eve. I had made a few casseroles and a salad that morning and around lunchtime we went down for little while to kill some time. We visit the museum quite a bit, but never with Dad before. It wasn't very busy and it was nice to get out and walk around.

Once we got home I made rolls for our family party that night. We have a new tradition of Christmas Eve dinner and party at our church house. It works out perfectly and I imagine we'll be doing it that way from now on.

After dinner is usually play time where we bring skateboards, balls and the jump ropes out! At the end of the evening we do a small gift exchange. The kids and adults all draw names and get a gift for that person.

As soon as we got home the kids wanted to open their Christmas Eve present. New jammies to sleep in while they sleep and wait for Santa!

Before we went to bed, I made this gift box for the kids to surprise them with our family trip to Disneyland next month! Once I found out I was pregnant, I told Josh we need to go if we are going to...and the sooner the better! I can hardly wait!

Brynn has been loving the Little People Nativity and our Christmas Village this year. I catch her playing with them all the time.

.graham cracker house.

Brynn's cute preschool had a parent invited Christmas party. We made gingerbread (graham cracker) houses. Josh's new job allows him to be home most of the day Friday, so it been so fun having him be able to attend stuff like this.
