.end of school festivities.

The boys last day of school was May 31st.  It was kinda strange since they had that Monday off for Memorial day?  As you can see...they were pretty excited about it!  I snapped the next picture of Gage about 20 minutes after he got home.  I don't remember what he was crying about, but I laughed and thought to myself...this is going to be a long summer!
I made the elementry year book this year!  My friend Emily texted me this photo and asked if I knew I was featured.  I helped in TJ's class this year and this photo is from the Christmas party when I helped them make fingerprint reindeer ornaments.

I helped with Gage's field day.  We did an object relay.  Being so pregnant made things a little more difficult and I was pooped by the end and took a nap when I got home.

.spring sports.

TJ was asked to play on a comp baseball team this year.  He had played a few years of T-Ball and a season of machine pitch, but nothing this intense.  We were actually approached by a few teams that wanted him to play.  Sports is quite the time commitment.  Practices weren't too bad, twice a week Tuesday and Thursday for an hour and a half and double header games on Saturdays.  The games were the killer part, sometimes we spent 5 hours at baseball games every Saturday!  For not having much experience with the sport, TJ excelled!  His best position was pitcher and he did great for such a high pressure position!  I would get nervous for him every time, but he always did great and was very proud of himself!

Soccer was nice.  Practices once a week for an hour on Tuesdays and the games on Saturday were always at the same park in Brigham.  We had to juggle games between Josh and I a few weeks when the times conflicted.  Gage is an awesome player!  He is very aggressive and goes right after that ball.  He scored a few goals this season!

.nine.

My firstborn is NINE!

Josh's work schedule worked great letting him be home to see TJ open his birthday presentsbefore going to bed after a long night at work. TJ was dressed and ready to go on his special day. He opened his before heading off to school.

I've had a great time meeting the kids at school for lunch on their Birthdays. I asked TJ what he wanted me to bring him that day, he requested an Arby's Roast Beef sandwich WITH cheese, curly fries and a root beer. Amy and Katy came up to visit that day and tagged along with Brynn and I to eat lunch with the Birthday boy.

TJ and his buddies: Austin, Skyler, and Daxton. They all were pretty happy to sit and eat with us and it so fun to watch your kids in their own element interacting with their friends. I don't know how much longer he'll want to eat lunch with his Mom so I'm soaking it all in!

Amy and Katy stayed the morning and helped me finish decorating TJ's Lego cake.

TJ wanted BeyBlades for his Birthday this year. After school he and the boys played them with his new stadium. He was very nice to share.

Only one more Birthday picture with him being able to hold up his age on his fingers! After pizza for dinner we had cake and ice cream. After Dad lit the candles I was counting down from three for us to all sing him happy birthday. He took that as his que to blow out all the candles before we sang! Silly boy, he makes us laugh everyday! So, we lit the candles again this time we were able to sing to him before he blew them out and made a wish.

Two days after his brithday it was the Blue and Gold dinner for scouts. We were able to finish up his requirements and he earned his Wolf Badge before graduating to Bears!

.snow and school.

We have had one of the mildest winters I can remember! Hardly any snow, but cold enough not to be able to play outside. Its been hard to have the kids inside so much and not have any snow to play or sled in. The few storms we've had seem to have fallen on the weekends, which is great for the kids who are always anxious to got outside and play in it.

TJ (and I) have been busy at work on his very first big school project and oral report. He was to report on a continent and he chose, South America. We spent a few hours on his poster and then he got to work on the written report. He could write it or type it out. He chose to type it and once into it was frustrated because it was taking too long. I told him it was good practice, because he'll be typing reports for school for many years to come. We worked on his oral report and he had some funny ad libs he wanted to include. They day of his report he said went well. I wanted so bad to be a fly on the wall in his class that day! Especially when he got his grade and besides getting all possible points, his teacher made the comment how good his oral was and how it was full of so much personality! I have no doubt it was! She said she 'loved it'!
