.first week with baby vivi.

Having a new baby in the home is such an amazing experience.  I think we all just soaked up her new sweetness and enjoyed every minute of it.  We had a few visitors, Aunt Katie came up on Monday and Grandma Kerry came up for the day on Wednesday.  She did some shopping for me at wal-mart which was much appreciated.  I got a phone call from Amy asking if they could stop by for a minute which was quite a surprise.  Vivi met Will for the first time, even though they were both sleeping!

.girls weekend.

For Christmas again this year we got Mom a gift basket with the news of a girls overnight weekend for Christmas!  We decided on Salt Lake this year and it was perfect timing because the new City Creek opened just a week or two before.  We stayed at the Little America in a Tower suite.  After checking in Saturday morning, we took trax over to the new mall and walked around and ate lunch at Chick-fil-A.  We came back to our hotel where Katie met us after work.  We went to Mexican for dinner and then back over to City Creek that night.  I got so tired, I spent most of the time just sitting waiting for Amy and Kate to shop.  Mom was nice enough to sit with me and wait.  It was conference weekend and the mall was crazy busy!
We had a nice evening back at our hotel and even ordered room service!  We had breakfast that next morning before we decided to head home. It was a blast and I hope it continues to be an annual tradition!

.girls day out.

I have been meaning to see a play at the local playhouse ever since we moved to Perry. A few weeks ago I saw on the marquee that Cinderella would be playing. I immediately called up my Mom and sister to see if they would be interested in coming up to see it. We got tickets for a Saturday matinee. The play was good, it was a little long for the girls but they did good once we reminded them that we were going to go for ice cream after. There was two parts in the show where a fog machine was used. The fog had a smell to it and since we were in the 2nd row, it really bothered Brynn. When they did it the second time, I thought we'd have to get up and leave! Ha! After Cinderella and the Prince were available for pictures. Brynn ran right up to them and posed away. I'm sure our recent trip to Disney helped with that! After we went to Dairy Queen for fries and ice cream! Fun.

.uea weekend in salt lake.

Since Josh ended up working for most of the UEA holiday, I decided to make an overnight trip to Salt Lake to send some time with my family. The week before, I crashed our ipad by trying to upload a new update. I tried and tried to fix it with no luck so I made an appointment with the genius desk at Apple. The kids had a ball playing on all the fun electronics while they waited. I was able to get a new ipad so I was very happy about that!

After we met Amy and Katy at Gardner Village to see the Witches Halloween display! Holy crowded!!! We didn't stay long because the crowds were so bad, but we did have a nice lunch nearby afterward and then went to Mom's house to relax and decorate sugar cookies.

After spending the night with Grandma we woke up early the next morning and got hot chocolate before we went out to the Jordan Parkway near Mom's house. It was a cool morning. We played on the playground, went to the pond and walked up the parkway a ways. After Mom treated us to a fabulous car wash. It was like an amusement park ride and then we all vacuumed out the car. The kids were all able to use their own vacuum to help.

.the bird.

We spent a few days at Snowbird again this year. My aunt Ann and her family don't quite need all the beds available and we were able to stay in a room this year. Our family rotates and we had it last year so we really won't have it again till 2013. We've been coming up here for as long as I've been around. Its tradition and fun to now share that tradition with my kids.

Mandatory picture at the Plaza across from the Pharmacy.

I got the kids a bag of rock treasures to sift through at the mining waterway.

They both came out with some pretty neat stuff.

Katy and Brynn just like getting wet.

Josh wasn't able to take anytime off work, but he did come up afterwards each day. Shane and his family had a few night up there as well so it was nice to have familiar faces to play with.

I think this is my favorite picture of the whole trip. Aww...

Although this one is pretty cute too!
