.memory quilt.

I decided to take my boys baby clothes and make them a memory quilt. I'll admit, its been way hard cutting up their tiny baby clothes, but I'm excited to be able to display them now and not have them hidden in storage boxes. I saved a few of my favorites that I couldn't bear to cut.

Its been quite the process and has taken the back burner to other sewing projects like the boys Halloween costumes, but I WILL FINISH IT!

The pattern is called "stacked coins" and will look similar to this one when they are finished!

.sewing party and sickies.

Monday we invited ourselves to Angi's house for a day of sewing. We brought the kids swimsuits and they basically ran a muck all day long. We ate pizza for lunch and enjoyed lots and lots of snacks.

We had plans to make a skirt/applique shirt combo with matching headband. Tausha has two girls to sew for so she was very busy trying to get them both done.

Rachael and I only had one set to make.
Here's is Rachael modeling Maren's new skirt! Just beautiful.

Brynn liked hanging around with the girls and Angi was very nice to let her "help". We left thinking we broke her surger, thank goodness the dials just got turned way down by probably due to my little one.

She helped us get everything done before she sewed later for her 3 girls.

Here is the finished masterpiece! Cute, huh?

I enjoyed it so much I made another one a few days later. I have a constant need to create. Lately I've been getting my fix though cakes and photos so it was nice to add sewing to the mix.

This one with a birdie applique.

Tuesday was busy with T-Ball practice and games. We almost got blown away waiting at the park for Gage to finish up. A rainstorm blew in and by the time we got into Brigham...they canceled TJ's game.

Wednesday morning early I woke up with the "pukies". Ugh, I was so sick all day long. I thew up half a dozen times and struggled getting through the day with Brynn being unsupervised and Mommy so sick. I wish Mom could have sick days. Either that or be able to put the kids on the shelf for awhile till they get feeling better. The boys spent most the day at the neighbors which I was soooo appreciative for. Brynn took advantage of the situation and got into EVERYTHING in the pantry while I was perched at the porcelain throne all day. Poor Josh came home to an upside down house with raisins, fruit snacks, toothpaste, and fishy crackers strewn all over the place. TJ came down with the same thing that afternoon and we both laid in my bed for awhile together. He did make me an adorable "get well soon" snake out of Popsicle sticks with a cute message on it. It was all backwards though which made me smile.
