.new toy.

Josh finally got himself a side by side. The guy loves toys, what can I say. He sold 2 of our 4-wheelers and his beloved dirt bike it hopes of getting it. I must say it is a very nice ride and the seats are very comfy. The kids LOVE it. Brynn and the neighbor girl harass him everyday for a ride and he usually will take them. He and the kids took it up the canyon one afternoon. We are anxious to take it to the sand dunes. Hopefully we can make a trip down there soon.

.peach days.

We did a quick run through Peach Days this year. We made it in time for the parade and watched most of that. Bummer part was they didn't throw candy from the floats this year. I'm sure it was because of last year when we were there and the kid across the street was run over by a trailer. All the kids brought bags for their look and Gage was pissed! Any opportunity for him to get candy is his favorite thing. He kept telling us how stupid it was after we realized there would be no candy this year. To bad people can't watch their kids, get hurt and ruin it for everyone else. A parade without candy was not so fun.

We walked around a few booths and displays, we didn't even get food or walk down to the car show this year. Instead we left early and stopped at Call's Drive in on the way home for lunch.

TJ's football game was that afternoon in Logan. It was pretty exciting because they got to play on the High School field that had an AstroTurf field. I loved being in the stands, it was such a better view of the game. Wish I had a better lens though.

I can't remember but I think this was the game TJ scored 2 touchdowns? Here is a picture of one of them. And we finally won our first game! Wahoo!

Josh has been busy like usual. He scored some steel paneling from work for cost and has built an awning over the dog run and wood pile, this shed that now houses the boat and another shed which in now the kids 'hut'. Its made up all fancy inside with flooring, tv, game cube, table and chairs. They are pretty lucky I think.

.happy birthday joshua.

Even though none of our kids have summer Birthday's, I'm so glad both Josh and I do! I asked Josh what he wanted to do for his special day and he happily replied that he wanted to go to the Bay. So, that's exactly what we did.

It was easy to continue our bust out create paper birthday tradition when the Birthday boy sleeps till 1:00pm. The kids were happy to help me!

We invited everyone to meet us out on the beach that afternoon. We had a great evening playing on the beach and in the water and Josh loved giving everyone who wanted one, a ride. Josh requested a zucchini cake and I also made a fruit pizza in the shape of a beach ball.

.jury duty...among other things.

Josh got a jury summons for court. He reported to the Box Elder County court house early Tuesday morning. He said there was about 60 people who were called. The ended up selecting the jury by doing a drawing. Josh said that once he heard that, he knew he would get
picked. Sure enough...he did. Guess being lucky doesn't always work in your favor. :) He was the only male chosen after they went through a questioning process. They had a jury of 8people,
and two alternates. One of the alternates was also male so he wasn't the only one. The trial started that same afternoon and I didn't hear back from him till after lunch when he told me he would be busy that week. It couldn't have come at a worse time. Work was crazy, but they managed. The trial lasted for 4 full days. He was able to come home for lunch. He was good about not speaking about it with me like he promised he would. At the end he was chosen as the jury spokes person and conducted the deliberation. They came up with a guilty verdict. He was finally able to tell me all about it afterwards. It drove me crazy not knowing! :) It was an attempted murder/stabbing case between some brothers from Tremonton.

Brynn and Gage did a few new art projects inside while the weather has been yucky!

Brynn is still obsessed with make-up. She sneaks into my make-up drawer all too often. She usually comes out just like this...with mascara on her forehead!

Here's a picture of my new rugs. I've been working on decorating my front room (finally). Its been alot more fun than I anticipated. I just need to work one room at a time. I was feeling overwhelmed before and this has help me so much!

.halloween parade.

Josh's work schedule always seems crazy, but sometimes...its nice. Like this week he is working nights at McKay Dee Hospital and so it freed up his morning so he was able to go see Gage in his Halloween parade at school. He usually misses that kind of stuff. I found out that TJ's school doesn't have a parade which made me very sad. I've only got two years then for each child of parade's is all.

I really like Gage's teacher, Mrs Seely this year. She is very sweet with the kids and really cares for them. She's been teaching a long, long time and I know that's gotta count for something!

Gage didn't know that Josh was coming to see him that day. He said over and over again that morning that he wishes Dad could come see him. He was so surprised to see him, the look on his face was the best!

Josh had been working hard cutting and stacking wood for us to use this winter.

.gates of lodore.

This is what Josh was up to when I was left to play single mom for the week. He was working on a job outside of Vernal in a place called Gates of Lodore. It was about 2 hours outside of town so they camped out.

He recently got an iphone. He found it on KSL and we drove to pick it up in Ogden late one night. Its fabulous!!! I'd like one now too. Anyway now he can take decent pictures for me to see when he gets back.

They had a campfire every night. Josh told me that it was much better than sleeping in a hotel?

He even took Chase.
