.you say its your birthday.

Saturday was my Birthday! Once I found out that the arts festival was going on, I knew that's exactly what I wanted to do that day! Our hotel had a shuttle and we made reservations early and were downtown right when everything opened.
I was in heaven! I just love artsy things and it was so fun to walk up and down main street and look at all the treasures. The kids all did very well and I think they enjoyed the morning too.

We had lunch in a Brazilian cafe where the boys and I ate the last time we were up there. The food is good and its in a nice location.

After we got back to our room we went swimming again before we went to the resorts restaurant for dinner. We had a gift card there. The food was good and on the fancy side, so that was a treat.

After dinner we walked over to the mountain side where they were holding on of their free summer concerts. It was a blue grass band and it was so neat to sit outside and listen to the live music. The best part of the evening was the people mover that we rode down to the parking lot and back. It was like a standing chairlift and the boys LOVED it! I think we rode it down and back 4 times. It was great free entertainment and such a wonderful day!

.park city.

My birthday was on a Saturday this year. We had an overnight stay in Park City so I decided that would be fun to do for my special day! We came up Friday afternoon and since our room wasn't ready when we got there, the front desk was nice and gave us a key to the pool so we could play while we waited a little bit longer. It was crazy busy that weekend. The Park City Arts Festival was going on downtown and I think lots of people were trying to get a last vacation in before school started.

After we checked into our room we went to town for dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and then to the outlet mall for some shopping. Our dinner experience was horrible! It was crazy busy and TJ and I were served our food, then Gage and almost an hour later, Josh finally had his meal. I could tell Josh had about had it and would blow at any minute! Thankfully the manager came out and apologized profusely and told us dinner would be on them. Honestly, we'd rather pay and have better service, but it turned out okay in the end. We just won't ever be going to that restaurant again! I was able to score the boys all their jeans for school at the Old Navy $10 jean sale. We also ended up getting them their school shoes that weekend too.
