Yesterday was a frustrating day! Josh has finished the tile on the counter and my plan yesterday was to start removing the hideous wallpaper we have adorning our kitchen...wrong. What a mess! I'm not kidding when I say I spent hours on this and got nowhere. First I tried water. That wasn't working so I was at Walmart at bought some wallpaper remover gel. That didn't work either. I went back to walmart and bought a wallpaper removing tool, it pokes holes in the paper to help the gel absorb better. THAT didn't work either. I worked on a 5 foot section all day and this is how far I got!!! ARGH!
No wonder why people paint over wallpaper all the time. What a mess, after Josh got home and we both tried to get it off. We decided it was no use. I think what we will end up doing is texturing the wall and then painting over that. At this point that sound like the best alternative because that stuff is never coming off.
