I've been on such a downer this week, I just never felt like posting. It's snowing outside and we've been stuck in the house all day, so I thought this is as good of time as any to post again.

Josh took the day off Tuesday to pour the porch that morning. That afternoon he had scheduled a crane to lift the roof trusses up so they could be nailed in place. Darryl, Shane, Matt and the crane operator were there at 2:00 to get started. Our neighbor stopped by after work to help. While they were working TJ accidentally hit cousin Matt's finger with a hammer and smashed it up badly. It was the most awful experience. Matt was crying, TJ was crying, it was just so scary. I hugged TJ while they wrapped Matt's finger and got him in the car to get to the hospital. TJ kept telling me he was sorry over and over again. He told me to spank him. It was so sad.

Matt had surgery that night at then got to go home. Our night was horrible, I couldn't sleep, Josh couldn't sleep and TJ couldn't either. I just couldn't get it out of my mind. We all felt so bad. I talked to my BIL the next day and he made me feel better. He said they tried to fix his finger and got it sewed back together. He said they are going to go back to the Dr. in 10 days.

TJ had told me at least once every day since that he's feels scared about Matt's finger. I told him that he will be okay. We have plans to go over there tomorrow and see him. I think it will make us feel better.

Despite the accident, they were able to get the trusses up. We are anxious to get the roof on so all this wet weather will stay out.

This is a small pad we also poured outside the side garage door. I laughed when I saw Josh put the dogs prints in too.
