.brynn's bilibed.

So, Brynn has Jaundice. She was borderline when we left the hospital on Thursday. Josh took her back to the hospital to be tested Friday afternoon and we were told she needed to be under the lights. It was hard because the weather was overcast and there was no sun to put her to to try and help until she was tested. They brought over a bilibed late Friday night and she's been in it ever since. She's to be in the bed for 18-20 hours a day! Only to get out during feeding or diaper changes. She's done well. The hard part is for us, we all (including the boys) just want to hold and snuggle with her and it's hard not being able to do that.

She was tested again this afternoon and her levels have gone down. She's still borderline high. .07 over what they consider safe and we are to take her in again tomorrow for another blood test. I've been so grateful Josh has been home to take her for these appointments. He says it's hard to watch them "milk" her foot for the blood sample. Hopefully we will get rid of this thing very soon.

Oh, she looks so sweet. I can't wait to hold her again! Poor Brynn, her eyes still look a little bruised but other than that she looks really good. How hard for you all, I can't imagine not being able to hold your new baby. . .
