.birthday dinner.

For my Birthday I told Josh I wanted to go out to eat. Just the two of us (well, Brynn too). We dropped the boys of at my SIL's and headed downtown to eat. We sad down and ordered, not minutes later Brynn started to fuss. Dang, I tried to keep her up for awhile and made sure she was nice and fed before we left. Well, it didn't help. She screamed and bawled all through dinner. This is how it went.

When our food arrived, I ate my meal alone while Josh took Brynn outside.

Once I finished, we swapped and Josh ate his cold dinner, alone and I took her outside.

We ordered dessert to go, because she was still crying. Once outside we sat down by a beautiful fountain they had outside and ate our dessert. Not minutes later, after we were outside and done with dinner. Our little miss went right to sleep. sigh, wouldn't you know.

Why couldn't she fall asleep an hour before this?
Guess we'll never know.
She must have not known it was my Birthday.

Birthday girl! Kate did my hair last weekend for my B/D present.
She's such a great hairdresser...lucky me.

I guess I knew this is how dinner would go with our new baby. It was even comical at the time and everyone around our table smiled at us with sympathy. I still had a great time and I won't ever forget this Birthday dinner...that for sure!

And finally, Josh sent flowers to the house. They were so pretty and such a nice surprise. Also he got me a gift certificate to a spa for some sort of soak and an hour massage! Who hoo!!! Just what every new Mom needs. Thanks hon.
