We've been working on finishing the basement for the past few months. (When I say we...I mean Josh)
Josh and Shane framed it and we hired a company to come hang and finish the sheet rock.
Here are a few pictures of the progress.
Here are the wiggle cars again. They've been so much fun downstairs on the cement floor. Funny thing: Earlier this week Josh was working on a storage unit and came across the people who supply these to Overstock.com. Where I got ours. He made a deal on some in damaged boxes and we have a few extra if anyone is interested. Just let me know. He got a better deal than I did!
I don't know why these pictures turned out so strange. Must have been lots of Sheetrock dust in the air?
Speaking of Sheetrock dust...I'M SO GLAD THAT PART IS OVER WITH! WHAT A MESS!!!
These next ones are after Josh put the primer on the walls.
And the 'almost' finished product.
What do you think of the paint??? Be honest. I'm so bad at this part. We have lots of brown going on upstairs, so I wanted something different.
I really like it, its kinda a grey/blue/green color? It just depends on how the light hits it.
We left two of the 3 bedrooms down there white. Exciting I know, but I'm not sure what we are going to do with these rooms quite yet.
I would love to snag one of those wiggle cars from you. Do you think there is anyway I could get it back to New York?? I didn't know you guys were working on the basement. I am excited to see the progress (in a few months that is).
I looove the color, great choice! Really pretty when constrasted with a dark chocolate brown or a rusty/brown/red. Love it! I love to see it with all different shades and textures of white and cream too. Ohhh, I love that part of remodeling. I'm still trying to find the perfect shade of dirty/swampy/mossy/water for the litle reading nook we want to do. You should see the people at the counters when I ask them for that shade! How much for the wiggle cars? We would love one!
