.these are a few of my favorite things.

My sister in law told me about a party her neighbor threw after moving into her ward. In hopes of learning more about everyone she had everyone come over and take a few minutes to share a few of their favorite things. products, recipes, websites, etc. I thought it was a such a wonderful idea and thought it would be fun to do this via blogs. so i guess I'm tagging everyone to do the same and post it on their blog, or leave it in the comment section. Ya know, to share the wealth.

I'll start.

favorite food websites:

http://www.allrecipes.com/

love this site. love the ratings and reviews and the top 20 recipes in each category section. these are my new favorite cookies. excellent!

Chocolate Mint Cookies I

http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/

love her site! I made the Superbowl quesadillas tonight for dinner. delish.

Shout stain remover is my favorite. With two small boys and a new baby...you better believe I know stains.

Speaking of stains. This stuff is THE. BEST.! I got out a bunch of baby clothes from storage - you know the ones that are right around when you started giving the kid orange babyfood, never to be the same - well, I am pleased to announce, it took just 24 hours soaking in an Oxi-Clean bath and the 3+year-old stains are GONE! Not kidding, people!!

I'm not a huge make-up wearer. But when I do...this stuff is my fav! Bare Minerals. I have oily skin and I love this stuff.Even though I'm not a huge make-up wearer and I've been known to go out without wearing any. I NEVER leave the house without using my clear eyebrow gel. I have crazy eyebrows and this stuff tames the beast. I know, I know! I'm a total toothbrush snob, BUT - I worked in the dental field for quite a few years, and I know what I'm talking about on this one! A sonicare toothbrush is a must for everyone!

So I got a Roomba. These babies are expensive, but you know me...I wouldn't buy this if I didn't get a deal on it. I bought a refurbished one online for less than $100 shipped and its my new best friend! I highly recommend it!!! It works great and also is so much fun. Bonus it keeps the kids entertained as they follow it around. It goes from carpet to tile with ease and even won't fall down the stairs. so cool.

my kitchen aid mixer. another fav.

Beyond the Zone Turn Up the Heat Flat Iron Protection. My little sister introduced me to this stuff years ago. You spray it on before you flat iron your hair. works great. the product lasts forever (you don't need much, I'm still on my first bottle). And it smells like cotton candy. yum.
Paul Mitchell Super-Skinny Smoothing Serum. Another Katie recommendation. So nice to have a sister who does hair. I just wish I lived closer so I could go visit her at her salon more often. Don't use too much, but put this stuff on wet hair and it dries faster. also smooths the fuzz!

And finally my favorite hair product. my hairdryer! the BaByliss PRO BAB2000 Professional Ceramix Xtreme 2000 Watt Hair Dryer. I cannot tell you how many hours and hours this baby has saved me in hair drying time. Before this it would take 15+ minutes to dry my hair. With this little wonder, Its about 4 minutes. super powerful! It was expensive, I think I paid $45 for it...but well worth it, a hundred times over.

My favorite chapstick. love the sent and the smoothness.

My Karen Neuburger Super-Soft Slipper Socks. Mom gave me these for Christmas last year. I HATE cold floors and naked feet. And these keep my feet nice and toasty. I have that cute purple pair (I think I stole these from you Mom?). And Mom gave me pink ones. I think it was in hopes my baby was a girl (I was about 3 1/2 months pregnant at the time). In honor of that coming true...I wore them when I delivered Brynn. awww.

And finally my Tweezerman Pedro Callus Stone. I bought this baby at Target and its been so nice for my feet. keeps them nice n soft.

Now share with me your favorites! I NEED to know! :)

Okay two things I cannot live without. Eyelash curlers and mascara. Sheseido eyelash curler is THE best. You can get it at Nordstrom. I swear by Lancome Defenicils mascara. Another product you can get at Nordstrom, Macys, or Dillards. It lengthens and thickens. They both are pricey, but worth every penny in my eyes! I need to try the flat iron stuff you like. Unfortunately, I am a slave to my flat iron, and my hair shows. Loved that post!

Love your post! A few are my favs too, and then there are a few I want to try - like that roomba vacuum thing. Sooo tempting, but we have bad luck with vacuums.

I would do one, but that would require thinking, which I do too much of right now. I am still waiting for a spare minute to read what you have been up to. Thanks again for the invite!
