.I DID IT.

How many of us keep saying how we are going to print our blogs one day? I mean how long will blogger keep old posts? Well...I finally did it and I'm in LOVE! I've been researching how to get my blog printed for years and honestly there is no really "easy" way to do it. I even saw where you can hire someone to complete a blog book for you! That outta tell you something. This was by no means, easy...but it wasn't that hard either? I'd settle in saying that its very time consuming...but doable!

I made my book using blurb.com. You first have to download their software. After you can create your own book. You then link to your blog and it slurps (my word) your posts and puts then into a generic template. This is the easy part. Once there you have to adjust every single page! You can change the template, rearrange pictures and sometimes edit and squish text to fit every page. Its very user friendly and then you just save your project before exiting and then come back when you have another minute to work on it. I chose to make the first year I blogged into one separate book. I spent weeks working on this project. Just working on it a few pages at a time.

It was quite the project, but I'm LOVIN' the results! The quality is just superb.

My anxiously awaited package!

Contents

The book was nicely wrapped in plastic.

First post...first page.

You can have pages of just pictures if you want.

Nice personalized dust jacket.

Yeah!!!

My book had almost 150 pages. That covered 8 months of blog posts. The book was $50 and shipping almost $10. Upon checkout, after I uploaded my project there was a place for a promotional code. TIP: Whenever you see this while shopping online...go find a code!!! I just googled "blurb code" and after a few failed attempts found one good for $10 off. Basically I got free shipping...sweet!

Thanks for all the great info. Your book looks so neat! I usually do a family yearbook every year through Shutterfly and it costs WAY more than doing it this way. Since I started blogging I don't think I need to do a yearbook anymore-just print off the blog!

ok, you've motivated me. I downloaded blurb as well, and after trying to edit the very first page I got frustrated and quit. I need to open it back up and get to it. THE BOOK IS BEAUTIFUL!!!! Love it.
