.SWAT in our backyard???

Friday night after work Josh and the boys were out in the backyard riding motorcycles. I had just called them in for dinner when he said that they just saw SWAT team members running down the street with their guns drawn. We looked outside and saw that they had the road closed just to the south of us (the street where we used to live) with patrol cars.

In we made a few phone calls and between that and facebook we found out that a neighbor had barricaded himself in his home and was threatening to hurt himself or anyone that came close. My Mom called and said she just heard a little blurp on the news. It was freighting to not know what was going on. We had the boys stay inside and Josh ran over to the neighbors where he had a front row view to the happenings. He watched as they dropped off a loud speaker and they were attempting to communicate with the man.

I think it lasted a total of almost two hours. It ended peacefully and the man was taken into custody. It was a pretty big deal for our little town. Which by the way...anyone know anymore or any new details?

You can see the armed officer by the armored car. Also see the men in the lower left corner of this picture? They were the ones trying to talk to the man on the loudspeaker.

Yeah, so Jeff was on his way to a scout over-nighter and their vehicle was stopped by the wife crying and asking for help. They are the ones that Called 911 and reported it!!! My little boy was in the truck too! They sat at the offices until the cops showed up. I guess once they got in the man has several guns lined up and hundreds of rounds of ammo. ready to go... Is he still there? Crazy?
