.the zoo.

As summer was winding down I started to freak out thinking we didn't really do any big activity together as a family. Don't get me wrong, we spent a ton of time doing fun things together, but no big day trips. I picked a Saturday in September, wrote "Zoo" on it, and when it came time...that's what we did. Love it when things work out like that. I told Josh...if its on the calender, we're doing it.

So we headed out early that Saturday morning for our family trip to the zoo. It was packed, the new baby elephant brought out the crowds, there was also a diabetes walk. The weather couldn't have been more perfect.

In the stinky indoor building there was this "wild cat" made me laugh because it looked just like any other kitty. Kinda weird seeing it on display like that. Brynn of course loved the "ki ki"

this used to be a butterfly house. At least that's what it was last time I went. (Its been a while). This time is was a Madagascar exhibit.

We totally wore the kids out. We stopped for dinner on the way home. Brynn had a meltdown at the restaurant, other than that it was a very successful day!
