Happy New Year!

I'm looking forward to this coming year. So fresh and new. I think the lovely Anne Shirley's quote "Tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes in it" applies so well.

We threw a little party and invited some family over for dinner. We had Cafe' Rio salads and dessert. We got a new ping pong table for Christmas and broke it in with a few games. Everyone left early and we didn't even make it to the new year, I think we crawled in bed at 11:30, real party animals, huh?

Over the holiday weekend we took the kids into town and went bowling. They are getting pretty good!

A few weeks before Christmas our renters in the small side of our Duplex bought a home. They had been living there for over 2 years and it was exciting that they finally got into their own home. I don't think anyone we've ever rented to has done that before.

It needed alot of work so Josh and his brother spent some time fixing it up again.

They put in new carpet and repainted everything. The back sliding door was replaced with a stationary door and window.

We also put a new stove in the kitchen. It stayed vacant for over 6 weeks! I wasn't worried before Christmas with the holiday and all, but come January we were very anxious to get somebody in there. We finally rented it the second week of the year and so far...so good.
