.two.

Well, its a fact. Babies grow up on you...whether you like it or not!
That's what my boys did and that's what my little girl did too! Two years old already!

I had a blast planning her Birthday! I only started planning a week before, but once I chose ladybugs as the theme, it was so easy to find fun ideas. I took her out for a photoshoot the night before her Birthday in her ladybug sweater, its where I got my inspiration for her party! She loves to blow dandelion puff and so I got lots and lots of smiles. Fun.

We didn't have an official party, but such cute pictures needed an invitation anyway.

The cake is always my favorite part. I spent lots of time getting ideas and even sketched out my design before I made it. I made these ladybug out of fondant the day before. I learned quick that true red and black fondant was the hardest to make! Took lots of color, but worked perfectly. Here are my creations minus their cute antenna.

I went to the scrapbook store and got supplies to make a pendant Birthday banner. I decided to just make her name...that way it will work not only for Birthday's. I'm not much of a scrapbooker, but it was a fun, fairly easy project.

I wrapped her presents as ladybugs as well! With the antenna and eyeballs, the ends of the packages made the cutest faces. Can't you see their smiles?
(or maybe a frown with the one on the left?)

Red balloons with black strings were nice decorations as well. I took a black sharpie and colored black dots all over each one! We took these pictures before I decorated them. Josh laughed at how much time I spent planning everything! He said it was more for me than her...I think he's right! :)

My Mom also came up and spent the day with us!

Ta Dah! Here's the finished cake! I turned out cute I think. Everything was edible except for the wire antenna. I'm actually not a huge fan of the taste of fondant so I wanted to ice the cake layers instead.

Getting the icing red instead of pink was hard and took a whole jar of coloring!

The large ladybug on the top was my favorite.
Their little faces were all so different, they all had so much personality!

I decided last minute to make a ribbon banner with her name on it!
I like to put the Birthday person's name on their cake!

The little ladybug friends all along the first tier.

All her buggy presents.

A flower vase I put licorice in.

Here is a picture with the dotted balloons. We invited the cousins over and they each got one to take home afterwards.

"Happy Birthday to you"

She was cute when we sang to her. She's on the shy side and I didn't know if she wouldn't like all that attention. She surprised me and loved every second of it!

She got the Playschool Rose Petal Cottage and we set it up that night.
She loves it and is always "cooking" something in there for me.

Happy Birthday Brynn!

Yeah!!!! The finished product!!!! Love it for sure. Looks like you had a great time.....and even though it might be fun for you to plan a party, you wouldn't be doing it unless it was for Brynn! She will look back and appreciate all you have done for her on her 2nd birthday. Wow 2 already! Time flies when you are having fun! You outdid yourself!

Britney!!!! I LOVE all the ideas, I am going to have to write all your ideas down and may have to steal them one day if I decide to do a ladybug party for one of the girls. You have such great ideas. Maybe I should hire you to make my kid's birthday cakes, you always make them look so professional!
