Tuesday June 15th was our 9th wedding Anniversary! We celebrated after work by going to dinner at Union Station in Ogden. Josh ordered a halibut special and I got their turkey bacon sandwich. We got a chocolate cake to go. Josh had planned the evening and said we had some time to kill before we needed to get back. We stopped off at Costco and picked up a few things. Afterward we went home and picked up the kids and came home to put them in bed. I did this while Josh packed our 4-wheeler and we then headed across the street and up the canyon.
He had packed chairs, our dessert from dinner, sparkling juice, chocolate and strawberries! Very romantic. It was very sweet and I so appreciated his efforts and the thought he put into everything. The plans were to watch the sunset together. The weather that evening cooled off alot. The sky was full of dark clouds and lighting in the distance.
We picked a nice lookout and set everything up. The view is gorgeous and it was fun to watch the lightning show. Not much in terms of a sunset but we did see some sun poke out from below the clouds a few times.
We stayed almost an hour before the storm forced us to race back home. Josh was bumbed it didn't turn out exactly as he envisioned, but I really don't think it could have been more perfect! It was cold and we got to snuggle under our blanket in our hoodies and just enjoyed being together. Why we don't do this more often I don't know, but it nice to have an excuse to do it!I love you Josh! I am so happy to call you my husband. You have far exceeded my expectations for what a husband and father could be. You are the hardest working person I know. Thanks for putting our needs first and taking such good care of us. Thanks for your support and for telling me I can do anything. I adore you and will love you forever! Happy Anniversary!!!

Happy Anniversary! I'm glad you had a nice celebration. Chocolate strawberries was a great touch and it looks like Josh really enjoyed the sparkling juice.
Wow 9 years flew by! Bummer about the sunset, but very romantic!
