.summer, week one down...11 to go!.

Sunday after Church we took the dogs up the canyon to rinse off in the pond. They found something stinky to roll in the day before and were in dire need a scrub down. We brought the Frisbees and enjoyed watching them retrieve them from the water.

The kids of course liked playing in the water.

Gage lost his first tooth on the way to church that morning. In the parking lot Uncle Shane yanked it out for us. They never let Josh or I pull them...it always seems to be someone else? He seems a little young to be loosing a tooth, but sure enough his permanent tooth is right underneath. Love the kids cute toothless grins.

Monday was the first official day of Summer. It felt like it too and it was so nice not having to get TJ off to the bus. We broke out the water balloons and the kids spent the afternoon playing with them.

TJ spent ample time filling them up to see how big they'd get before they popped.

The weather was cool this week. Tuesday I sent the kids out with a sheet to play in the wind. Anyone else do this as a child. I have memories of making a sale with my roller skates. Talk about danger!

I think they enjoyed themselves.

We got a picnic table for the deck outside. We enjoyed eating lunch out their when the weather was nice.

TJ's first game was Tuesday night. Gage's practice overlaps the games some weeks like this one. So I stayed and watched the game while Josh took him to practice.

Its TJ's his first year with machine pitch. They've had 2 practices and this was the first time he's ever was up to bat with the machine. He made hit all three times he was up. So proud!

And finally Wednesday afternoon the boys had their first karate lesson. They LOVED it and it was fun to see them participate and learn.

Oh... I remember the sheets! We all use to line up in the circle on our roller blades with a sheet tied to our ankles and wrists and see how far the wind would take us! Good times! Thanks for reminding me of that great memory!
