.Gator's first day.

Gage started Kindergarten this year! I can't stand that my baby boy is getting so old. He was so ready to start school. The first day went well. He was excited and did well. We got a few pictures before we headed up the driveway to catch the bus.

The first week went find. He complained to me a little about how long it was. The second week of school was testing for the Kindergartners so he had the whole week off. He had been struggling a little with going to church and told me often that he had a tummy ache and his head hurt. That next week was hard. He refused to get on the bus at one point and hid from me the rest of the day. I was crushed. It was so unlike him to get so upset like he was. Also one day that week after he went to school, they called and said he wasn't feeling good and I needed to come get him. Driving to the school I knew I couldn't let him come home. I knew his headaches and tummy aches were from anxiety he was feeling towards adjusting to school. It was hard to see him so upset. I told him I loved him and that he needed to go. He started to get more upset and I grabbed the principle and asked him to take him to class. He went and stayed the rest of the day. Slowly its gotten much better. It took a few weeks but I think he's made the adjustment and isn't struggling like he was before. It was so emotionally draining for me. I cried and cried those few weeks, there is nothing worse than seeing your child struggling.

He lost his first tooth a few weeks before school started. Just love those toothless grins!

Gage and Maren are in the same class this year! I think it was good for Gage to have a buddy in his class with him. They have Mrs. Seely this year. From the few times I've met with her, I really like her and so does Gage.

Brynn enjoys walking up to the bus stop with us everyday.
