The first week went find. He complained to me a little about how long it was. The second week of school was testing for the Kindergartners so he had the whole week off. He had been struggling a little with going to church and told me often that he had a tummy ache and his head hurt. That next week was hard. He refused to get on the bus at one point and hid from me the rest of the day. I was crushed. It was so unlike him to get so upset like he was. Also one day that week after he went to school, they called and said he wasn't feeling good and I needed to come get him. Driving to the school I knew I couldn't let him come home. I knew his headaches and tummy aches were from anxiety he was feeling towards adjusting to school. It was hard to see him so upset. I told him I loved him and that he needed to go. He started to get more upset and I grabbed the principle and asked him to take him to class. He went and stayed the rest of the day. Slowly its gotten much better. It took a few weeks but I think he's made the adjustment and isn't struggling like he was before. It was so emotionally draining for me. I cried and cried those few weeks, there is nothing worse than seeing your child struggling.
Brynn enjoys walking up to the bus stop with us everyday.

They are getting SO big..makes me feel so old! Yay for school Gator!!
oh sad! poor little Gage. Trey had a few rough days as well. He tried the tummy ache thing too. I ended up sending him and he seemed to be ok. It IS so hard to see them struggle. PS I LOVE LOVE LOVE the drinking fountain idea. I might have to copy that. Does it save you tons of cups and dirty sweaty boys coming in all summer for drinks.
Seriously did that even happen, seems like a dream now. Glad he is doing great!
