.nelson corn maze.

Some things, like a corn maze seems like a good idea at the time, but after is all said and done you think to yourself...yeah, I don't think I'll be doing that again anytime soon.

It was family night at the local corn maze. TJ's school sponsored the event and everyone cost only a $1. They also had hot chocolate and donuts which are a fabulous draw if you ask me. Josh was out of town working and I wasn't sure I wanted to go. The day came and the boys begged to go. I figured we'd go right when it opened and hopefully get through fast enough. We were there at 5:00 sharp. Got a doughnut and started at one end. So, I'm an idiot and never having been to a corn maze, didn't quite know what to expect. First off...I wore flips flops. Not a good idea. Second I let Brynn take in a few toys. She brought a baby with a carried and a stuffed tiger. The boys kept wanting to run ahead but I told them there was not way we were going to split up. I could just picture them or me getting lost and waiting for hours. I thought before hand that if I really started to panic, I'd just plow my way through the stalks to the road. Well...that's not really a possibility. That corn is thick! There's no way you could do that. I had powdered dirt all over my feet and Brynn started to whine and wanted me to carry her, not easy when I was already carrying all this other crap. I have issues with controlling my environment and situations and this was throwing me WAY off my comfort zone. We eventually made it out, took us about 45 minutes. Not too bad, but I don't think I'll be taking the kids back to do that myself ever again!!!

Yummy Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

I am laughing my head off thinking of you carrying Brynn and all that CRAP at you put it, and also about having no control over your environment! But you did make it, you can avoid it next year, you got a great shot of Brynn in the maze and you got doughnuts and hot chocolate....what more could you ask for?

I feel your pain! I keep thinking that we should go and then I think of Jack running ahead and having to carry Charlie in the backpack, that he really doesn't love...we have yet to make it there! You got some cute pictures though! ;)
