.adventures in Park City.

UEA was fast approaching and I told Josh how we should do something fun while the kids were off school. We talked about going camping or to Moab but the week before I suggested Park City. I didn't even know if there would be any availability but after some internet researching I booked us a room for Thursday and Friday night!

It worked out that Josh had a job in Park City that Thursday we had our reservations. We were just planning on going after he got off work, but decided to pack and go up with him for the day since he would be there anyway.

We stopped at a gas station before we got into town and watched a hot air balloon while we waited.

Josh was working in a Parking Garage at the Park City Mountain Resort, which is where we had our reservations. He had a full day of work so I needed to keep me and the kids busy all day while he was working since we couldn't check into our room until 4pm.

We were carless because Josh had his truck and work trailer. The boys brought their bikes so we rode around a bit to look around. We stopped at a cafe for some hot chocolate.

When we exhausted all the things to do around there, we decided to take the shuttle bus downtown. It was quite an adventure. I didn't quite know where to get off and what to do, but we made it where we wanted to go.

We walked up and down main street.

We stopped for lunch at a grill my sister suggested.

The food was great and it was so nice to sit down awhile after walking so much.

After lunch we walked some more. This time over to the "shoe tree". The kids got a kick out of that. We then walked all the way down to the local skate park and park.

The pathway down had lots of things to see and do including this musical outside area.

After we were done we walked allll the way back up main street to where we got off the bus the first time. Brynn crashed and the boys complained the whole time. Great fun. I realized after that we could have picked up the bus down at the park. dang.

We then picked up Dad and checked into our room.

We then picked up Dad and checked into our room. The kids wanted to swim right away so we went to the pool for awhile.

Our room was great, it was an older building but it was huge and could have slept 9 people! The kids shared one of the bedrooms and all slept like rocks.

That seriously looks like so much fun! Look at all those places to sleep! Glad you found the shoe tree, skate park and the grill! Looks like a great way to spend UEA. I'm still amazed that it worked out that Josh was working up there....it was meant to be!

I'm glad you guys had fun in Park City. I never seen the shoe tree that looks like fun. A lot of walking but it sounds like there was lots to see too.
