.temple square.

Josh left out of town for another week early Sunday morning. Thursday when I was getting ready for Bunco I receive a call from my Mom telling me that my Grandmother's husband, Arch was in the hospital with a brain bleed. She said it wasn't looking good. My poor Grandma. She had been married to him for almost 7 years and had already lost my Grandpa a few years before that in December also. After surgery for his hemorrhage he was taken off life support a few days later and died on December 12th. The funeral was Wednesday in Salt Lake. Since it was short day at school, I decided it would be easier to just take the boys out of school and bring them down with me.

After the funeral I decided to make a day of it and stay and take the kids to see the lights at Temple Square. We stayed with my Mom that afternoon and visited with my sister Katie. We drove over to the Trax station by Mom's around 4:30 to take it downtown. I figured it would be easier than finding parking and the kids have never ridden on it before.

They all LOVED it. We need to do it again real soon. Brynn especially. She talked for days after telling me she wants to ride the train again. I'm thankful Mom came and helped me out!

We got there just before the lights turned on. We checked out one of the visitors center to get warm while we waited. I think it was a perfect time to go because we were earlier enough that it wasn't crazy crowded yet.

Amy and my niece Katy joined us a little while later.

We stopped in the new mall food court for dinner and hot chocolate before we boarded trax to go back home.

It was a HUGE exhausting day and I was pooped by the drive home, but I'm glad we did it!
