.2011, day one.

The Christmas decor came down New Year's morning. I think Josh would have liked it to come down the day after Christmas, but I could have kept it up for a few more weeks!

Gage and Brynn helped me take down the Village.

Yay! I finally have stockings after being married almost 10 years! My sister hooked me up with these from Down East Home. They all had embroidered names I had to remove (that was a HUGE pain) but for $3 each, I think they are fabulous! Now I just need to add our names.

We headed up to Mantua for some holiday sledding later that afternoon.

It sure is pretty up there.

We took the road headed up to the girls home and pulled the van off the side and had to hike the rest of the way up the mountain. Brynn got a pretty sweet ride up.

This was the sledding hill. It looks pretty harmless, but the kids got going a little faster than I would have liked.

Brynn did good for the first 10 minutes or so.

Then Dad took her for a ride and she pretty much hated sledding after that!

Josh warmed some water and we had hot chocolate on the slope.

By the time we left, Brynn had had it. Josh pulled her back down the hill. She was so pooped she couldn't even pull her arm back in the sled. Once we hiked back down to the car we noticed that Chase wasn't with us. Poor Josh had to run all the way back up to find him.

Brynn's one and only sled ride.
