TJ started his first year of padded football the first week of August. I asked the kids when school got out what they would like to do and this was what TJ picked. I must admit, it made me nervous. He had to have a physical before the season and his Dr. made me feel better when he said that football at this age was really one of the safest sports. He said they are very protected with all their gear, and they really can't get enough momentum at this age to do any damage. I don't know if that's all true, but it made me feel better.
The season is intense. Tuesday-Friday evening practice for an hour and a half and games + another hour of practice every Saturday with games all over the region. Josh has been helping to coach and he and TJ just love it. They ride the motorcycle into Brigham for practice and TJ is a huge sweat ball every night when he gets home. I'm actually surprised that he likes it so much.
We've been to a few practices to watch and I'll admit, I kinda like watching him having to work so hard.
