.school days.

The kids started another year of school on August 29, 2011. TJ is in the 3rd Grade. His teacher is Mrs. Lee this year. She seemed nice at our back to school conference. TJ was excited because he heard she throws great class party's and has pop! He said he didn't want to go back to school, but I could tell he was excited to get back and be with his friends. He and Matt ride their bikes to school together everyday.

Gage started 1st grade. That means he will be gone all day this year. His teacher is Mrs. Wixom and we both like her alot. Her son is on TJ's football team so is been nice to get to know her better. He did great his first day. I got a call from the office his second day telling me he had a stomach ache. Ugh. I told her he did this to me last year. I wen into talk to him. His principal was pretty blunt and told him he needed to get to class. It was what he needed but it so hard to see him struggle. I had to bribe him the first couple of weeks with a Perry Ice. I just told him I knew he was having a hard time, but that I was proud of him and I'd take him for a treat when the week was over. He told us later that a kid in the bathroom was being mean to him. He told Gage his clothes were stupid and he was ugly. Breaks my heart. Why do kids have to be mean like that. He told his teacher, which helped and thank goodness the kid turned out to be in another class. I haven't heard anything else so I think things are better. He tells me that his eyes water everyday when he watches me from the bus window on the way to school. He's just a sweet little boy and I miss having him around.

And Brynn started Preschool!!! It was kinda unexpected. I called Community Preschool a few weeks before school to see if I could get her signed up. The teacher told me we would be on a wait list and we were #4. She told me not to get discouraged. I was a little, but I just figured if she didn't get in, I'd just wait till next year. I got a phone call the Saturday before school started saying they had an opening so I jumped on it. She was shy and scared for the first 3 weeks or so. We talked about her having to go and that she could choose happy or sad. The first day she went without crying she told me on the way home that she chose happy that day! Its been so good for her! Can't believe all the kids are growing up so fast.
