Since Gage's birthday fell on a Sunday this year, we met and brought him McDonalds birthday lunch to school the Friday before! Its been a fun tradition and its neat to see the kids in their school environment and interact with friends. Brynn and Will joined me that day. After lunch we even got to go outside for break and play with him.

When I was trying to figure out what kind of cake to make Gage this year, I just knew I should ask him if he wanted to make it this year! I'll admit, it was SO hard to give up creative control. I adore making birthday cakes and always look forward to it. I couldn't help but be happy for him though because he thought that was the best thing ever! He frosted it in chocolate and then added some trophy's and left over airheads from bringing them to share with his class! The most unique birthday cake we've had so far!
