I love everything about having a baby. The pregnancy part...not so much, but I love labor, delivery and the hospital stay afterwards! I noticed this time around too that I didn't see the nurses so much? They would check on me often, but I never once got woken up in the middle of the night to check my vitals. I don't know if its because it was my 4th baby and they figured I knew what I was doing or what? But it was soooo nice. Also this time around I really made use of my time by sending baby to the nursery and trying to get as much sleep as possible. The dispatching Doctor (Dr. Ferguson left that next day for a marathon) told me that studies show that mothers who get more sleep right after a baby is born, the better they seem to do with little or no post partum depression. I took heed to this advice and I noticed a tremendous difference this time around.
I was discharged on Saturday night. Josh took the kids to TJ's baseball game which happened to be in town this weekend. He talked about swinging by on his way home with the kids to take me home. I told him no, and that he could go home, put the kids to bed and then come get me afterwards. Much better idea!
