.the time is drawing near...

At my appointment this week my doctor could tell I was getting frustrated.  I was miserable and felt like for sure I was in labor.  I've done this before and I thought for sure I was in labor on Sunday.  Its the worst being sent home, especially since this was my FOURTH baby!  He said that he can't technically induce me since I wasn't 38 weeks yet but if I wanted to come back on Thursday he could see if there is any change and he'd strip my membranes.  He said he could do so enough to get me started.
I was so torn on what to do.  I know babies are meant to be in utero for 40 weeks, but I honestly felt like my body was in labor and I was getting completely worn down mentally and physically.  I also have been told I 'cook my babies faster'  And since I've never once made it to my due date...I believe this to be true.  I made the decision to wait and see if I had changed any at my appointment and then if I did, I'd let him try to get me going.
I booked a pedicure the day before just incase it worked.  I also was in charge of helping at our quarterly meeting on Wednesday so that evening at the church was a long one.
Thursday morning my appointment was at 9:45.  Josh was excited and told me that I should let him do it and hopefully we'd have a baby by that night.
I was checked and told that he didn't think I had changed any.  What do you want to do he said.  I still didn't know.  When he was about to leave, I blurted out to 'just do it' and we will see!  It was painful, just like I remember...but it worked before with Brynn so I thought we could at least try.  I was dilated to a 2 at this point and he tried to stretch me to a 3.  It hurt so bad he said after he didn't think he stretched it enough.  I went home not feeling like it probably wouldn't work this time...

....I was wrong.
