.slime.

We made slime for the first time yesterday. I've seen this recipe before but have never attempted to make it. I had a hard time finding Borax. I called Mom and she pointed me in the right direction. At Wal-Mart it is on the laundry soap isle. And it looks like this...It cost $2.79 which is kinda expensive when you consider the recipe only calls for 2 Tablespoons. But now I have it when we make it again, I have lots to share if anyone wants to try this and finally I have a "natural laundry booster". Not too shabby.

The hours (seriously) of entertainment the slime provided was priceless...

Homemade Slime

Mix together:
2 C. Elmer's Glue (ON SALE FOR .20 THIS WEEK TOO)
1 1/2 C. Water
Food coloring

Mix together:
1 C. Warm Water
2 T. Borax
Combine the two mixtures and knead with your hands til it forms a gob, and all liquid is incorporated. Store in ziploc bag.
It is one of my most requested recipes. It's so fun for the kids to play with, cheap to make, only takes 5 minutes and it lasts for months. I have used it for bithday presents, birthday take home gifts, etc. Very cheap entertainment for kids.

I bet the boys loved that! I always wanted to make that when I was little, but I couldn't ever get a hold of any borax. Thanks for sharing the recipe and pics.
