Exactly two years ago this week actually I talked Josh into traveling down to Spanish Fork to have my best friends cousin take our family pictures. I had received an e-mail with some photos that she did and was just blown away. I HAD to have her photograph us. I convinced Josh by heading for a weekend trip to the sand dunes right afterward. I was not disappointed, we were thrilled with the results she gave us.

Here are some examples...
note: none of these are my images.

Amazing stuff huh? Click here for her contact information.

After that I was hooked. I got a Canon 30D DSLR camera and few lenses for Christmas that year and have been obsessing ever since.

There are all sorts of helps on the internet, honestly I spend was too much time looking at photography websites. But its a hobby of mine and I'm always learning something new.

I'd say I got into a slump when I was pregnant and shortly after Brynn was born, I feel like I've come out of it now and have been enjoying practicing with my new little subject, Brynnie.

I do have Photoshop CS3 and use it to enhance my pictures. It is a very complicated program, but I have learned to do some pretty neat things. One things for sure...you really do need to take a decent picture first. Photoshop can't fix everything.

Originally I just wanted to take better pictures of my kids. This is why I like it so much. Maybe someday my hobby will turn into something more? But for me, right now...I just like taking pictures.

I did start a blog awhile ago for my images, I've been better about updating it recently. The link is here.

Brit, so I am in the market for a new camera too. Mine is old and does not take very good pictures...so my questions are: is it easy to use? And is it resonable priced? Let me know because a camera is going on my Christmas list I just don't have a clue when it comes to camera's.
