After our rafting excursion and we ate dinner we went for an evening hike on a nearby trail. 
Most of the trail was through a cow pasture. Brynn usually likes cows and always points them out to me on the freeway. She wasn't too sure about them now that they were so up close. They were so dang big, made me kinda anxious too.
The trail brought us out to a beautiful overlook. Hikes with "rewards" at the end are always best in my opinion.
The skies started to darken as we turned around to go back. 
Sure enough the skies opened up and it started to rain. We had about 15 more minutes till the car so we just trudged along in the rain.
The kids are lucky to have such a strong Dad. He carried Brynn most of the way. TJ complained about his legs and how he couldn't go any farther once it started raining. Sure enough, Josh threw him up on his shoulders and carried him the rest of the way to the car.

I totally agree that "rewards" make the hike. I cant wait to head down here next year with you. We are totally planning a trip!
