Ten years ago we were here, making vows to stick together forever. We were so young. And somehow, all those years ago I made the best decision of my whole life.
And to create this family with him:

How did I know back what a kind and loving person he is? What an amazing Father he'd be to our children? How did I know what a kid he is at heart and how much of a teaser he'd be? How did I know how much of a support he'd be, and how well he'd provides for us? And how did I know I'd love him more and more everyday?
I guess I couldn't have known clear back then, but I sure felt it.
And how every year on June 15th (and every day of my life for that matter) I contemplate over and over again how I am the luckiest girl I know.
Josh and I celebrated 10 years of wedded bliss on Wednesday June 15th. After work, we got a babysitter and went down to our Temple in Bountiful. I had made us an appointment to do sealings. We were married in this temple and its been a long time since we've been back to where it all began. During a break in the sealings we told the officiator it was our anniversary and that we were married here ten years ago today. They were sweet and afterward showed us around the rooms while we tried to remember which one our ceremony took place. I think I remembered, but room was busy so we couldn't go inside. I told the gentleman helping us that I don't remember too much about exactly where everything happened and that our wedding day was a happy blur. I do remember where we sat and waited together in the celestrial room while we waited for everyone to be seated that day. It was in between sessions and we had the whole celestrial room to ourselves! We sat in our spot and enjoyed the peace and quiet and each other!
I made plans to visit a local restaurant in Bountiful after. When we were walking up to the front door it said they had closed the week before and were only available now for catering. We needed a plan B so we stopped at Texas Roadhouse. We walked in and then right back out again when we heard how loud it was and saw all the peanut shells on the floor. We were looking for something a little nicer and ended up at Tenpanyaki, a Japanese restaurant in Layton instead. Neither of us had eaten there before. It a family style table where the chef comes and cooks your meal right in front of you. It was fun and entertaining and the food was delicious!
I made this collage as a gift for Josh. I printed up pictures of just the two of us to create it. It was fun looking through all our old pictures and reminiscing.
I also made this project. I put a vinyl sticker counting up to ten on balloons and then attached a card with a picture and what we did that year for every year we've been married.
